We are honoured to have Dato’ Dr Amar-Singh HSS as our distinguished guest lecture at the 2018 Research Day this Friday.

Dato’ Dr Amar-Singh HSS is a Senior Consultant Paediatrician and heads both the Paediatric and Clinical Research departments at Ipoh Hospital. He has a long-standing interest in children in the community, disability, family self-help groups, NGOs, child abuse, adolescents, disadvantaged & marginalised children (especially Orang Asli). He is a strong advocate for the development of services for children and has actively used research to transform healthcare by introducing a number of national programmes for children. He will share on how we can advocate for others and use research to change situations and policies. He will offer an honest view of the challenges that face us as we try to advocate for others and the research areas we should be involved in.
