Drowning Prevention Seminar

1 July 2015; 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Seminar Room 3A, Level 3, Academic Block

Drowning is among the 10 leading causes of death of children and young people in every region of the world. In Malaysia, drowning is an increasing danger for children and adults.

Lack of barriers controlling exposure to water bodies and lack of adequate, close supervision for infants and young children are a drowning risk. High-risk behaviour while engaging with water, is also a risk among young people and adults.
