Intercollegiate Basic Surgical Skills Course
THREE DAY TECHNICAL TEACHING COURSE

The Basic Surgical Skills Course is held in Penang in Malaysia twice a year. It is run in Penang Medical College.

• Aimed at:

Surgical trainees who are starting Basic Training in their first year.

• Course Objectives:

To train participants in basic techniques for all types of surgery

• Course Content:

The emphasis of the course is on:-
• basic knot tying techniques
• suturing techniques
• percutaneous biopsies
• gastrointestinal/vascular anastomosis
• repair of nerve and tendons
• introduction to safe laparoscopy
• endoscopic procedures

• Closing Date:

One month (exactly) before course date commencement.

• Fee:

EURO 200.00 for Malaysians Nationals.
EURO 750.00 for Other Nationals
