The minimum qualifications accepted for entry into Penang Medical College are:

Preferably from the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics. Applicants should also have a minimum of 6 subjects at GCE O-Level or SPM which must include acceptable pass levels of Grade C or higher in English and Mathematics. (Lower grades may be acceptable in exceptional circumstances.)

Other equivalent qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.
Students who have taken STPM and Matriculation of the Ministry of Education, Malaysia, are required to sit for an English Proficiency Test.  They must achieve minimum scores as follows:

IELTS – Band 6.5 TOEFL – 100
